Study guides

Explore the words of Jesus by topic.

The chronological reader is the core of this site. These original guides take a second route through the same material: one study question at a time, with selected KJV sayings, original context notes, and links back into the chronology so the quotation never has to stand alone.

Guides are built from the site’s chronological KJV collection · Read the editorial method

Before choosing a topic

A topic page is a map, not an exhaustive concordance. Modern labels such as “anxiety,” “money,” or “discipleship” can group passages that use different biblical vocabulary. Each guide therefore selects representative sayings and explains why they belong together.

How these guides are built

Each guide highlights representative sayings rather than forcing every verse into a modern category. References link back to the chronological collection so you can read the words within the narrated event. Where wording or speaker boundaries are debated, the guide aims to identify the issue instead of hiding the uncertainty.

The explanatory material is original editorial synthesis. The KJV quotations and references are kept visually distinct so a reader can separate source text from summary.
